Join Inter Milan, Tevez advised

ROME - Argentina coach Diego Maradona believes Carlos Tevez should leave Manchester United for Inter Milan.

ROME - Argentina coach Diego Maradona believes Carlos Tevez should leave Manchester United for Inter Milan.

The striker didn't play in United's 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday and his contract is up at the end of the season.

"This isn't a good situation for him," Maradona said after arriving in Milan, Corriere dello Sport reported yesterday.

"Italy - and Inter in particular - would be a great setting for him. Besides, the fact that his contract is coming up facilitates a change."

Maradona also suggested that Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero move to Inter.

"I can already imagine an extraordinary pairing with [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic," he said.

Maradona's daughter Giannina is in a relationship with Aguero.

Later yesterday, Maradona was to attend Inter's Italian Cup game with Genoa.

"I hope I'm able to talk with Pupi [Inter captain Javier Zanetti] and Nico [defender Nicolas Burdisso]," he said, adding that he might also speak with defender Walter Samuel.

"Walter is an important player, he's also on my list."

Other Argentine players based in Italy that Maradona is considering include forwards Diego Milito of Genoa and Mauro Zarate of Lazio, and midfielder Cristian Ledesma of Lazio.

Milito has scored 12 goals in Serie A this season and Zarate has netted eight times.

"Whoever is doing well will be rewarded," Maradona said. "Zarate and Milito, for example. And, if he continues at this level, Ledesma could also receive a call." - Sapa-AP
