"The accident was between a taxi transporting passengers to the surrounding villages and a Coin Security vehicle travelling towards Rustenburg," said North West transport spokesman James Moche.
"It appears that the driver of the security minibus lost control of the vehicle in rainy conditions and collided head-on with the taxi.
Describing the accident as "horrific", North West transport MEC Phenye Vilakazi conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery. - Sapa
