Azapo president Mosibudi Mangena went on the election trail in his home province of Limpopo this weekend.

He was warmly received at Motlhotlo, in the Waterberg district, where a resident publicly tore up his ANC membership card, saying he was unimpressed with delivery by the ruling party.

Mangena was also given a rousing welcome by congregants at the Anglican Church in Mahwelereng, Mokopane, on Sunday.

Azapo publicity and information secretary David Lebethe said Azapo would also take its charm offensive to Free State, Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape and Eastern Cape.

Mangena, who is also minister of science and technology, was inundated with questions from the congregation who wanted to know his stance on outcomes-based education, unemployment and escalating crime. Azapo launches its manifesto in Limpopo on February 1.
