The Proteas have made three changes to the team for the second Twenty20 international against Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane today, starting at 10am South African time.

Hashim Amla, Morne Morkel and Wayne Parnell replace Jacques Kallis, Makhaya Ntini and Lonwabo Tsotsobe. Parnell will be making his debut for the Proteas' limited overs squad .

Proteas coach Mickey Arthur said: "It was always our plan to give every player in the squad at least one match. We will need to continue rotating the bowlers, at the least in the ODIs.

"There is a lot of cricket coming up when we get home for the return series against Australia."

He added that the current series was vitally important looking ahead to the ICC World T20 in England in June.

The Proteas will be seeking revenge after Australia beat them by 52 runs in the first Twenty20 game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Proteas starting line-up: Johan Botha (captain), Amla, Mark Boucher, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Herschelle Gibbs, Albie Morkel, Wayne Parnell, Dale Steyn, Vaughn van Jaarsveld.
