Pheleu had a heart of gold

Boitshoko Percy Pheleu was a Christian who had his heart in the right place when it came to helping the community.

Pheleu worked selflessly to improve the lives of young people in the townships .

He established the connectional youth consultation for the Methodist Church in Zone 9 Meadowlands, Soweto, and was also co-founder of the Greater Meadowlands inter-church youth consultation.

Pheleu was born on July 12 1969 in Meadowlands. He started his primary education at Rebongwe Combined School and completed his matric in 1987 at St Martins High in Rosettenville.

After matric he worked for the Justice Department and then went on to study law at the University of Port Elizabeth.

After that he worked for Grey Securities in Port Elizabeth and then McCarthy Motors in Durban and Johannesburg.

At the time of his death he was one of the directors of Seekers Travel.

He is survived by a son, a brother and three sisters. The funeral service will be held at his church in Meadowlands at 8am and the cortege will leave for Lenasia Cemetery at 10am.
