It will be KwaZulu-Natal v Western Cape when four teams from the two provinces meet in potentially gripping Absa Premiership encounters on Sunday.

The first to take the field will be Thanda Royal Zulu against pacesetters Ajax Cape Town at Hammersdale's Mpumalanga Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal at 3.30pm. Then the action switches to the Mother City where David Bright's Santos engage Lamontville Golden Arrows at Athlone Stadium at 6pm.

Craig Rosslee's Urban Warriors will be disappointed to come away from Hammersdale with anything less than a win, especially after dropping two points when they drew 1-all with cross-town rivals Santos midweek.

But they should find Amabhubesi in uncompromising mood, buoyed by their 2-0 success over Maritzburg United in their last match in December.

Nigerian attacking midfielder Felix Obada and Nkosinathi Nhleko found the net in that match, and could trouble Ajax on Sunday.

But Thanda, who are coached by the affable Roger Palmgren, will be without Serbia-bound striker Bernard Parker, the league's leading goal scorer, who is suspended.

July Mahlangu and the burgeoning Clement Mazibuko will add impetus in the midfield for the hosts.

Sameehg Doutie, who had a storming game against Santos, is a player Obada and company should try hard to contain in the midfield. The tricky 19-year-old has pace and shooting power.

Mabhuti Khenyeza, who scored his eighth league goal of the season on Wednesday, is another player Amabhubesi should focus on.

Santos officials could not be reached yesterday for comment about the extent of the injuries to Eleazar Rodgers and Romano Scott.
