Since joining Sundowns at the beginning of the season, Collins Mbesuma has faced his former team, Kaizer Chiefs, just once - in the final of the Super 8 tournament that Chiefs won on penalties.

On Sunday at Johannesburg Stadium the Zambian gets another crack at a club where he achieved near-cult status fours years ago, and believes Sundowns will triumph this time.

The 35 goals he scored for Chiefs before his overseas sojourn, are now a distant memory.

At a morning training session where the Sundowns players took it easy - probably saving the real work for the afternoon session - coach Henri Michel admitted he did not know the whereabouts of SuperSport United-bound Lerato Chabangu.

As a former Chiefs player, Mbesuma garners as much curiosity as former Downs striker and now Chiefs danger man Jose Torrealba does.

Yesterday the striker would not be drawn into speculating about who the biggest threat will come from on Sunday - whether it would be midfield marshal Tinashe Nengomasha or up front from Tshepo Bulu.

"The entire team - from the goalkeeper to the strikers - will be tough," Mbesuma said. "I can't start thinking that they will pay me any particular attention."

But defender Robyn Johannes knows who should be kept quiet - Torrealba.

"You wish sometimes that he was on your side. He is a great player. But I'm up to the challenge," Johannes said.

Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral is convinced that Abia Nale is the missing piece of his puzzle . Nale has just signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Amakhosi and was promptly given the famous number 11 jersey that used to belong to a player close to Ertugral's heart - Jabu Mahlangu .

"He has been my wish since last year. He has potential to be a great player," Ertugral said. Kickoff is at 3.30pm.
