I have to applaud the Cope leadership for its prompt response in suspending its member, Terry Oliphant, in the Beaufort West area after the airing of the Special Assignment programme on Tuesday night.

This is what responsible leadership is all about, unlike the ones who protect and cover up for their unscrupulous members.

I think this is a challenge to other political parties to follow suit when faced with similar issues. We cannot have a politician occupying government offices who poses a threat to the same citizens he is supposed to serve.
