National First Division coastal stream rookies Carara Kicks aim to continue with their winning streak in the new year when they visit Hanover Park at Parrow Park Stadium on Saturday.

Kickoff is at 3:30pm.

The Free State outfit are determined to win all their nine remaining games, ensuring they finish top.

Basil Kholoane, Kicks' general manager, said their plan to win promotion to the Premiership was achievable.

"But to go to the elite league we need to win our stream and the playoffs. To do that we need not only luck, but to work hard and with the players we have at our disposal that mission is possible," he said.

Having gained promotion from Vodacom to the NFD last season, Kicks are in a position to make history in South African football by becoming the first team to gain promotion in two different divisions two years in a row.

They have surprised all and sundry in their division, opening up a four-point cushion over their close rivals, African Warriors, Ikapa Sporting and FC Cape Town.

Park, meanwhile, have not been doing well of late. But they are one of the three sides that beat Kicks this season.
