50 Cent too feels pinch

US rapper 50 Cent is feeling the effects of the global economic downturn - having been forced to slash the price of his Connecticut mansion by $4million (about R37,8m).

The In Da Club star originally put the house, formerly owned by boxer Mike Tyson, on the market for $18,5million (R170,5m) but the property is now listed at a reduced price of $14,5million (R132,6m).

Realtor Deborah Orr explains: "It's the market. With a unique property, everyone acknowledges it's difficult to pinpoint the perfect market price. We need to stimulate some activity.

"That was the intention of the price cut."
