Spokesman Superintendent Mohale Ramatseba said three robbers "stormed a tavern" at Wolwekraal farm in Marble Hall early on Saturday morning.
A 20-year-old patron was shot in the stomach and died. Two other men were shot and taken to a Mpumalanga hospital. Other patrons were robbed of cash and a cellphone.
Police said one of the arrested men "shot himself in the head" at his girlfriend's house to avoid capture and was taken to hospital. - Sapa
