The 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa will be long remembered for the legacy it will leave behind.

One such legacy is stadiums built or renovated including Orlando Stadium - the mecca of South African football.

The new look stadium that stands out like a rose among thorns in Soweto is featured on the highlights of the African Soccer Television show to be screened on SABC1 Sports' Laduma programme on Sunday at 2.30pm.

The highlights will also include Orlando Pirates' return to their spiritual home against Thanda Royal Zulu for the opening of rebuilt stadium. Pirates won 4-2.

While South Africa soccer didn't make it to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Africa's representatives there shone bright and made a statement for the continent with Nigeria making it all the way to the final.

Three African countries made the quarter finals.

Highlights from these games show Cameroon's 2-0 loss to Brazil in a thrilling encounter while the other quarter final pitted Ivory Coast against Nigeria with the Super Eagletts registering the same victory margin against their rivals.

Nigeria cruised past Belgium 4-2 in the semifinal only to be stopped in their tracks 1-0 by a meanLionel Messi led Argentina the final.
