National First Division (NFD) teams will go on a shopping spree to strengthen their clubs during the January transfer window.

These include Inland Stream log leaders Winnerspark, Coastal Stream log leaders Carara Kicks, Dynamos, Black Leopards, Witbank Spurs and FC Cape Town.

Winnerspark's general manager Trevor "TL" Lekalakala confirmed that they need three players to fortify their squad.

"We need experienced and energetic players to consolidate our position at the top of the log. Despite being on top we are still fighting to avoid relegation considering the competitiveness of the stream considering that GaRankuwa United were relegated with 21 points last season ." said Lekalakala.

Basil "Bra B" Mohalane, Kicks' manager indicated that they needed two players for their left side as it showed some cracks towards the festive break.

Leopards said they were looking for new blood.

"Despite having one of the strongest squads in the league, we will still sign two or three players for back-up in case of injuries and suspensions." Tshifiwa "Chief" Thidiela, Leopards' brand manager told Sowetan yesterday.

Bonga Mofokeng, Spurs' spokesman said they will sign two midfielders and a defender.

FC Cape Town's coach Johnny Ferreira said an experienced central midfielder and central defender should enhance their promotion chances.

Dynamos' spokesman, Joe Mbiza said two experienced strikers and a midfielder should help them move out of the basement of the log.

"We will finalise our wish list tomorrow (Tuesday) so that we can secure them before the end of next week." said Mbiza.

Other clubs are expected to announce their plans next week, like Jomo Cosmos, whose owner-coach Jomo Sono said that he will put final touches to his list of playing personnel next week Tuesday when the club returns to training.
