ANC misleading people for votes

I attended a public meeting that was organised by the ANC in the Free State's Ngwathe municipality and was disappointed by how people were being treated by the party and the language used in referring to Cope members.

An ANC leader told municipal employees that if they were not members of the ruling party they would be dismissed and replaced with comrades, no matter what positions they held.

People were also told not to support businesses owned by members of Cope. A municipal worker who was seen with Cope members was told that if he were seen with those people again he would be fired.

The elderly people were told that if they joined Cope or voted for it their RDP houses would be repossessed and that they risked losing their monthly grants.

This confirms that the ANC does not respect the Constitution and the right to freedom of association. I was disgusted at how our people were being misled and taken for granted.

All municipal positions have been turned into political positions. We have incompetent managers who can't even conduct small departmental meetings, there are no engineers and hence people drink dirty water and experience load shedding every time it rains.
