Mandla Mandela, Madiba's grandson, will be consulting his lawyer today in a bid to get his name cleared from any assumed relationship with the SA Roadlink bus company.

Mandela's move comes after City Press revealed to him that he was one of the company's directors, together with Sipho Shabalala and Allan Reddy.

However, Mandela has denied any relationship with the bus service.

"I am not part of that company nor have I ever been a shareholder. I knew Reddy a long time ago and we shared the same business idea to start a BEE bus company which never materialised. He kicked me and Shabalala out upon realising that he had everything he needed to start the company and that was it. The last time I had a conversation with him was over seven years ago," said Mandela.

He said he would be meeting with his lawyer to decide what to do about Reddy.

"I want my name cleared from any relationship that people might think I have with SA Roadlink," he said.
