Snow White a fairy tale of pantomime

There is little doubt that Janice Honeyman is the "Madam of Pantomime" in the country, so one can understand why the Johannesburg Civic Theatre never tires of staging her productions year in and year out.

The Civic is at present packed with sold-out performances of Honeyman's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Bigger and more spectacular than ever, this is an enchanting production complete with stunning sets, beautiful costumes, breathtaking special effects and superb acting.

Snow White features the irrepressible Tobie Cronje as the evil Queen Hildagonda Hoggaheim. After his lauded portrayal of Captain Hook in last year's Peter Pan panto, Tobie scares the living daylights out of anyone who comes too close to "Her Majesty".

The multi-talented Bianca le Grange has been cast in the title role of the beautiful Princess.

Bianca has evolved from TV Idols fame into one of South Africa's leading role models for the youth of today. She achieved a personal triumph in the title role of Honeyman's Cinderella in 2004.

Hunky Daniel Buys is cast as Prince Chuck B Charming. Daniel was a Top 5 Idols finalist and is also known in the entertainment industry as "The Singing Chef".

Dolly Louw and Lutho John have been cast as the palace nanny's mischievous children - Dudu and Dompie, while Steven Hicks returns to the Nelson Mandela Theatre stage as the Dame, following his lead role in the musical The Full Monty.

So if you are around Jozi this festive season - head for the Civic for a great show that runs until December 31.

You won't be disappointed.
