Pundits have tipped Seleteng Giant Killers and Mahwelereng Spikes to reach the final of the Windhoek Draught Top 8 tomorrow at the imposing Seshego diamonds.

Spikes take on Moletlane Texas in the first semifinal of the inaugural tournament at 11am, while Killers square off against Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts at 1pm. The final pitches off at 5pm.

Mogaba "Gabs" Tsebe, Spikes' mouthpiece, was already looking past the semifinals, a move that could backfire.

"We will use our match against Texas as preparations for the final against Killers. We will be welcoming Nakedi 'Woza Weekend' Raphalo back from injury," he said.

"We know Killers very well and we are prepared to settle a score with them after they humiliated us in the final league match last season."

Jimmy "JJ" Ngobeni, Killers' spokesman said they expect a smooth passage to the final, promising a repeat of the 10-0 drubbing they handed Wildbeasts during the Heroes' Tournament in Lebowakgomo recently.

"We do not expect any miracle to happen from Wildbeasts because they are our daily bread," Ngobeni said.

"Spikes should brace themselves for a defeat, but for the sake of their supporters, they must prepare fully for the final so that we can beat them with a respectful score."
