Image consultant Doris Msibi recently transformed Nomalady Nyamah, a member of the Sowetan Women's Club, who won a whopping R10000 Revlon makeover prize at last month's gathering.

Msibi takes us through the makeover process and what she did to transform Nyamah.

Nyamah wears a lot of pants and suits. She likes clothes that cover up her body, so she ends up buying large-sized clothes.

This is why she believes she is a size 34 - but with the right style, fit and length, Nyamah is in fact a size 32.

She has an amazing figure and legs that she should be proud of. So we went for beautiful skirts and dresses with small prints, soft shiny satin fabric and soft stretch tops to bring out her feminine side.

She looks great for her age, so we threw in a pair of hipster Capri pants. These go well with her flat stomach, womanly curves and firm legs.

Since she has a very small bust we added a padded bra to help her carry off her new feminine look.

Her "coming-out outfit" was in a stunning colour, almost burnt orange. We went for this colour because we wanted something bright but not overbearing. The shine in the material added some light and brightness to her look.

We matched this with black stiletto sandals with gold detail, an orange, bronze and gold necklace and a matching black clutch handbag. She wore her own stud earrings.

Make-up

Revlon Colourstay foundation was used. She has a combination skin, so we wanted to avoid oil-based foundations since they would make her skin look too glossy.

Pressed powder was used to set her foundation. Natural bronzer was used to highlight her cheek bones.

A dark brown mascara was used. A neutral coloured eye shadow to highlight her brow bone was used. A bronze eye shadow used over her eyelids was to maintain her natural look. A blue cream eye liner was used and a reddish brown lip liner to contour her lips. A brown-neutral lip gloss was also used. All were Revlon products.
