TOKYO - Claudio Bieler and Luis Bolanos scored first-half goals yesterday to give Ecuador's Liga de Quito to a 2-0 win over Mexico's Pachuca and a place in the final of the Club World Cup.

Liga will face the winners of today's other semifinal between European champions Manchester United and Asian champions Gamba Osaka in Sunday's final.

The Ecuadoreans wasted little time in taking the lead at a wet and cold National Stadium when Bieler capitalised on a defensive miscue to put his team on the scoresheet just four minutes in. - Sapa-AP
