Last week 75 people were injured when an SA Roadlink bus crashed on the N3 freeway in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

One person was critically injured, 14 were seriously injured and 60 had minor injuries.

The bus collided with another bus and five other vehicles near the Lions River in the Midlands.

In June 57 people, including 13 children, were injured when a SA Roadlink bus crashed near Paradise Valley-Pinetown in Durban. Seventy four passengers were on board. It was suspected that the bus driver fell asleep.

On December 24 2006 12 people were killed when a bus ploughed into a bridge on the N3 in Pietermaritzburg. The company management claimed the crash was caused by a tyre burst.

On October 2 2007 a SA Roadlink bus was pulled off the road by the KwaZulu-Natal road traffic inspectorate (RTI). It was taken to Mkondeni RTI centre for roadworthiness test. Inspectors discovered that its brakes were faulty.
