Bilal Abdulla, 29, who was born in Britain but later returned to Iraq, was described by the judge at Woolwich crown court as a "religious extremist" who had intended to kill innocent people. The attacks, in London and Glasgow, Scotland, failed owing to defective detonators. - Sapa-DPA
