University of Pretoria are through to the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup after pipping Jomo Cosmos 1-0 at the LC de Villiers Stadium in Pretoria yesterday.
The home side started the game with vigour and constantly left their opponents' defence chasing shadows with pace, immaculate passing and superb ball distribution.
It took them three minutes to open the scoring when a well-taken corner by midfielder Aubrey Ngoma was headed home by defender Obert Moyo.
Cosmos were unfortunate not to have equalised when Wycliff Kambonde's shot hit the crossbar in the 25th minute.
Minutes later Bongani Theletsane shot straight into the hands of the Tukkies goalkeeper Siya Mngoma.
Whatever coach Jomo Sono said in the dressing room at half time worked wonders for Ezenkosi as they gradually took control.
But they were let down by strikers Collen Makgopela and Tshepo Moloto, who shot blanks .

Two minutes later Hanover Park equalised through Simphiwe Pamaa's header. Bobi completed his brace in the 61st minute.
l In Seshego, Winners Park advanced with a 1-0 win over FC Cape Town, writes Matome Lebea. The goal was scored by substitute David Makgale in the ninth minute of extra time.
