"I feel ecstatic," said the father of two boys. Mofokeng, pictured, of Naturena in Johannesburg, said he had been sending countless SMSes since the inception of the competition.
"The money could not have come at a better time," he said. "It is the festive season and one can do with a small treat. But the first thing I will do is to buy my boys school uniforms."
Mofokeng said he had sent 14 SMSes on Monday.
"I did not despair when I was unlucky in the past and hoped that I would win one day," he said.
He said he would continue trying his luck and encouraged his wife Hlophekazi to play as well.
