Villa moved back above Arsenal into the top four after coming from a goal behind to beat Bolton with Gabriel Agbonlahor scoring twice.
In-form striker Johan Elmander gave the visitors an early lead but Agbonlahor fired Villa level after 25 minutes. Villa went in front five minutes before halftime when Bolton striker Kevin Davies got the final touch to a Gareth Barry cross.
Agbonlahor headed in an Ashley Young cross after the break for his 10th goal of the season before Young also got on the scoresheet. Davies replied late for Bolton.
