Port Elizabeth will host rugby action when senior and junior teams across the country compete in the Nelson Mandela Bay sevens tournament tomorrow and on Sunday.

The competition will feature some of the provincial teams including the Natal Sharks, Griquas, Eastern Province, Border, Free State, the Golden Lions and the South African Vibes.

Paul Treu, Vibes coach, has included three new players Kyle Brown, Mliwadze Nqoro and Norman Nelson to strengthen the squad.

Brown and Nqoro were part of the Springbok sevens team who lifted the Emirates Airlines South African Sevens title in George at the weekend.

Wing Nelson got his national colours in June when he represented the country in the IRB World Seven Series tournament in Scotland.

Last year the Vibes team, playing under the banner of the SA Emerging Sevens, won the Nelson Mandela Bay tournament in comfortable style against some good opposition.

The Under-13s, Under-15s, Under-17s and Under-19s will also battle it out for glory in the yearly tournament.
