Robbers nearly gave themselves an early Christmas when they blew up yet another ATM at the Bushbuckridge Standard Bank branch early yesterday morning.
Mpumalanga police spokesman Superintendent Abie Khoabane said an unknown number of armed men were seen walking towards the ATM at the Twin City shopping complex at about 3am.
A security guard, who saw the robbers, hid himself and called the Bushbuckridge police, who arrived within minutes.
"The robbers escaped without taking a cent from the ATM because our members surprised them," Khoabane said.
