Umbelebele Jomo Cosmos dedicated their 1-0 win over local giants Mbabane Highlanders in the Lotto-Premier League of Swaziland Cup final on Sunday to their supporters and coach Harris "Madze" Bulunga.

The win was sweet revenge for the Skom Boys, as Cosmos are known, after going down 5-1 in a league encounter this season to the very same Highlanders.

"It's an incredible Christmas gift for the supporters. They rallied behind the team during tough times last season when we were fighting relegation. The win also serves as a birthday present to our coach as the day [Sunday] coincides with his birthday," said Ray Msibi, Cosmos spokesman.

Umbelebele walked away with R150000 while the runners-up received R80 000.

Balindile Mabuza scored the all-important goal in the first half. Mabuza and finished the tournament as top goal scorer.

Msibi said they will now shift their focus to the league.

"Our aim this season is to do well and finish in a respectable position. Then next year our plan will be to challenge for the league honors," he told Sowetan.
