Tickets for the Telkom Knockout final between Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town are selling at a fast pace and are likely to be sold out before Saturday.

This has prompted Premier Soccer League (PSL) media officer Altaaf Kazi to urge the usual late buyers to buy tickets on time at Computicket outlets.

More than 14 000 tickets had been sold just after noon, out of a total of 22 000 tickets that will be available for the match at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban. Kickoff is at 8.15pm.

Mfanano Majola, the PSL's head of security, emphasised that no tickets will be sold at the stadium.

He said they will deploy 298 security personnel to avoid trouble before, during and after the match.

"We will also have plain-clothes security personnel and policemen to deal with troublemakers," he said. "They will also monitor people who will be selling tickets illegally. I want to warn these people that we will deal with them harshly."

Pirates have involved travel agencies to help their supporters with discounted packages to Durban.

"We are not going to buy tickets in bulk for the supporters but we encourage them to buy on time," said Mickey Modisane, Bucs' spokesman, yesterday.

The Buccaneers will be going all out for revenge after losing Saturday's Absa Premiership dress rehearsal 0-1.

The two teams will have most of their star players back for the crunch match.

Teko Modise is back to inspire Pirates, while Sifiso Vilakazi has returned to fortify Ajax's attack.
