Free State Stars' unimpressive form in the elite league worries the club's supporters and management alike.

Testimony was their reaction after Ea lla Koto drew 1-1 with Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership at Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem at the weekend.

Desperate for maximum results, the supporters were shouting instructions from the stands, urging the players to pull their weight.

After the final whistle, they blockade the exit gate, making it impossible for Ea lla Koto's bus to leave the stadium.

They demanded some explanation from the management of the club's dismal performance.

Club boss Mike Mokoena, accompanied by son Rantsie, alleviated supporters' concern and promised that meetings will be called where concerns regarding the team's form will be address.

The hosts scored in the first stanza via James Matola, who beat goalkeeper Gilstrap Hunter with a diving header. But they wasted plenty of other scoring chances, including a penalty.

They allowed Gordon Igesund's boys - who were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Simphiwe Mkhonza got a second booking - to level the score.

Former Bloemfontein Celtic striker Lebohang Kukame equalised with just five minutes before the final whistle, beating Kennedy Mweene with a fine header.
