Pirates worth watching again

Orlando Pirates are the talk of the town, the current flavour if you will.

On current form no one can deny that the mighty Buccaneers are the team of the moment and The Ghost can safely claim that they are Happy People once again.

Such has been the team's transformation that even Rudi Krol is pleasantly surprised that he is in his first cup final hardly midway through his first season as head coach.

Pirates are ruthless at the moment and teams such as Bloemfontein Celtic will testify to that after the 3-0 pasting they received in the semifinal of the Telkom Knockout last weekend.

Or better still, viewers can watch the highlights all over again on the African Soccer Television show, which screens on SABC1 Sports' Laduma on Sunday at 2.30pm.

The show also continues with highs from the road to Algeria where the Under-17 African Championships will be held next year with Niger shocking their Ivory Coast counterparts 1-0 in a qualifier at home.

Tanzania's 3-1 demolition of Sudan in an African Nations Championship first leg game also produced top-drawer football while Togo saw off Rwanda with a 1-0 victory in an international friendly.

In Ivory Coast's Ligue 1 Africa Sports annexed the league in style when they saw of Dalao 3-1 right in their back yard.
