The race starts at Thohoyandou shopping complex at 7am and finishes at the same venue.
The race forms part of the 16 days of activism of no violence against women and children.
It will afford both young and old athletes the chance to sharpen their running skills ahead of the club's camp scheduled for December 8 to 23 at Tshaulu village, also in Thohoyandou.
The club's name will be formally changed during the prize-giving ceremony, from Tshakhuma Athletic Club to Mbvugi Athletic Club.
"We expect more than 1200 athletes and as a result we will implement the first come first served principle.
There will be a grace period for registration from 5am," Boldwin Masutha, the club's coach said. - Matome Lebea
