A 19-year-old pupil in Mpumalanga disappeared shortly after finding out that he had failed grade 7 for the third time.

Sipho Arnold Mogale of Nelspruit has not been seen since he collected his results last Friday.

Now his desperate family have made a heartfelt public plea to their loved one to return home, saying failing is not the end of the world. He was one of six pupils who failed grade 7 out of 31 pupils.

His relatives said he was repeating grade 7.

Mogale's brother, Differ, said yesterday that Sipho went to the Nelspruit Private College on Friday to collect his exam results. When he found that he had failed he did not return home.

He said the family was only told by his little brother's school-mates that he was very disappointed about failing again.

"His colleagues told us that he said he was disappointed by the fact that he had failed the grade for the third time after working so hard," Differ said.

He said his cellphone was off since then and he had not been seen anywhere.

Anyone who knows Mogale's whereabouts should call 082-553-5495 or contact Inspector Dladla of the Nelspruit police on 072-831-1753.
