All South African Airways workers who were reported missing in Mumbai after the terrorist attack have been accounted for.
The crew members were unaccounted for after the attack that left more than 100 people dead. Initial reports said only nine of the 12 crew members had been accounted for.
An SAA flight left for Mumbai yesterday and the crew will assess the situation at the airport and a decision will be made regarding the departure time of the return flight.
The airline said they would endorse all travel tickets on other airlines for passengers who are currently in Mumbai and holding valid SAA tickets. They are also working with Jet Airways in India to assist in ensuring the safe transport of passengers and crew to the airport.
"I am greatly relieved that we have located all of our crew members in Mumbai. We are now working to ensure we bring them and our passengers back to South Africa," said SAA boss Khaya Ngqula.
Meanwhile, the SA Revenue Services (Sars) has denied reports that two of its employees were missing.
"We have six employees in India - four in Delhi and two in Mumbai - and all of them are accounted for. They are still in the hotel and are safe. They will come home as soon as it's safe to do so," said Sars spokesman Logan Wort.
At least three foreign nationals - from Britain, Japan and Australia - have been confirmed killed and many others wounded following the fighting.
South African consul-general in Mumbai, Busi Kuzwayo, said all South African companies based in the area should let them know if their employees were in the areas attacked.
South African families with relatives in Mumbai should contact the consular section of the Department of Foreign Affairs at 012-351- 1000. South Africans in Mumbai should contact the offices of the South African consulate-general in Mumbai to report their presence and wellbeing.
