With the festive holiday period fast approaching, Business Against Crime SA has warned the public to take basic steps for their safety during this period.

Bacsa CEO Siphiwe Nzimande says that for those going on holiday, risks can be minimised by ensuring that a neighbour, family member or friend, clears your home post box while you are away. Also inform neighbours of your plans and ensure that all the windows and doors to your house are closed.

In an emergency, call the SAPS Emergency number 10111.
