Amajita coach Serame Letsoaka is not bothered by the late arrival of some members of his team for the Metropolitan Cosafa Under-20 Championship to be staged in Kimberley from tomorrow until December 7.

The South Africans will face Lesotho in one of the opening matches tomorrow.

They will enter the 18th edition of the tournament as favourites after they were beaten by Zimbabwe in last year's final.

Twelve of the 20 members of the team managed to attend yesterday's training sessions.

"I understand the late arrival as some players are still writing their examinations while others had to attend their clubs' league matches yesterday.

"The preparations in general are good and we are ready for the battle," said Letsoaka.

Zambia cannot be underestimated as they have won the tournament seven times, while the Zimbabweans have won it five times, Amajita three times and Madagascar have tasted success only once.

Group A comprises South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia and Seychelles, while group B comprises Namibia, Swaziland and Angola.

Defending champions Zimbabwe are in group C with Botswana, Malawi and Mauritius.

Group D is made up of Madagascar, the Comores and Mozambique.
