HANOI - Psychics have helped Vietnamese authorities uncover mass graves.

The authorities said yesterday that the graves contain the remains of at least 600 Vietnamese soldiers near a prison camp used by the US military during the war.

"We found two mass graves, thanks to the help of people with telepathic powers," said Pham Vu Hong, chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province on the island of Phu Quoc, where the graves were found.

The remains were located near a large prison built by the French colonisers before the Second World War. The Americans took over the prison at the beginning of the war in the mid-1960s. - Sapa-dpa
