The people of Umlazi in KwaZulu-Natal were given a gospel feast at the weekend, when One Gospel - Africa's only 24-hour gospel radio show - wowed crowds with amazing gospel numbers at the Mega City Mall in Umlazi.

Local choral ensemble Pillar of Roses got an opportunity to showcase their musical brilliance.

One Gospel head Abe Sibiya said: "One Gospel is dedicated to showcasing African Gospel music and as part of DStv we thought it proper to select a choir from the Durban area to celebrate what One Gospel stands for - quality gospel music."

One Gospel was launched last year and it is aired on DStv channel 331.

"We are grateful for the opportunity given to us by One Gospel," Pillar of Roses lead singer Bongiwe Mbambo said. "It is indeed a great honour for us to perform among our communities and be part of this unique experience."

The promotion is set to visit various malls in and around KwaZulu-Natal.
