Shrewd Zille is trying to take blacks for a ride

The concept of the Rainbow Nation when defining South Africa is both interesting and a handy basket.

The concept of the Rainbow Nation when defining South Africa is both interesting and a handy basket.

And DA leader Helen Zille has niftily jumped onto the bandwagon.

It is interesting because when I look at the rainbow, I do not see the colour black.

How is Zille going to merge the black with the white colour of the rainbow?

Maybe she will merge them through vigorously promoting interracial marriages.

There is a fable that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

The fact is Zille's community already has the pot of gold and they do not need to go to the end of the rainbow to acquire gold.

Will she share with the black supporters of her party the gold in hand?

What I notice about the rainbow is that its colours will never merge, you know, like self-determination and separate development.

Is that why in the DA's manifesto she stressed diversity so much?

Nothing about assimilation and convergence!

There is no doubt that the ex-Nationalists in her party see that the concept of diversity makes everything stay the same and are laughing aside at the gullibility of the people whose colour does not appear in Zille's rainbow.

Truly, the more things are said to change, the more they stay the same.
