The Oude Meester Ekurhuleni Comes Alive Jazz Evening is closing its entertainment calendar on a high note with a mini concert.
The last monthly jazz event this year will take place on December 12 at the Birchwood Hotel, Boksburg. As usual music lovers will pack the stylish venue to be entertained by a string of talented musicians.
Featuring in the concert will be the Taiwa Jazz Band led by Monk, the father of late jazz singer Moses Molelekwa.
The band will share the stage with young musicians Andile Mseleku, Tshepo Tshola, Gloria Bosman, Siphokazi and Nana Coyote.
Mseleku, an up-and-coming artist, will launch her debut album Essence of Joy.
The singer comes from a background of great musicians such as Bheki Mseleku and the late Wendy Mseleku.
Born in Lamontville, Durban, her determination, vision and excellent vocal skills will take her far.
Her ability to deliver a performance with grace, charm and efficiency as she moves up in the music industry is nothing short of incredible.
The Taiwa Jazz Band is a product of the Moses Taiwa Molelekwa Arts Foundation.
The band performs indigenous music played on contemporary instruments.
Tshepo Tshola returns to the Birchwood for the second time this year. Dubbed the Village Pope his album is doing well in the market.
Siphokozi, whose album Ubuntu Bam did well and won her awards, has just released another album hoping to do even better.
She will give music lovers a taste of her album Ndinovuyo that has just hit the shelves.
