The country's leading soapie Isidingo has a new man, a street smart incarcerated gangster who has been introduced to give Barker Haines a hard time in prison.

Farah Thoaele, whose role is that of leader of the 26 Gang, has specifically been introduced in the soapie to harass Haines in Prison. Barker Haines is the role played by Robert Whitehead.

An excited Thoaele, who has also played the role of detective Phala in Generations, Njandini, Duke's henchman in Backstage and Bill, one of the kidnappers in Zero Tolerance, said he considered it a privilege to have got this role.

"This is an award-winning soapie with high levels of professionalism, boasting seasoned actors such as Barker Haines and others. I find the role quite challenging, especially because I have to be close to Barker."
