Exciting golfer James Kingston is back from the Asian Tour and will now focus on the Nedbank Golf Challenge at Sun City next month.

The Rustenburg-based golfer, who will be making his debut in this lucrative and world acclaimed tournament, qualified for this event after winning the SAA Open that enabled him to clinch the order of merit on the Sunshine Tour last year.

The Challenge will take place at the Gary Player Country Club on December 4-7.

"Competing in the Nedbank Golf Challenge has been a childhood dream. I was a boy when I first watched the players taking part at the Million Dollar event at Sun City," Kingston said.

"Some of the participants were champions like Severiano Ballesteros, Johnny Miller and David Frost. Frost was one of my childhood heroes. He gave me my very first golf lesson as a kid.

"I really wanted to get this big win," he said of his SAA Open victory.

The SA Open win may well prove to be the breakthrough in his career. Some of his performances in the 2008 season have been breathtaking, most notably at the Scottish Open, where he finished second.

Kingston has played in the Minolta Matchplay and the Dimension Data tournaments on the course at Sun City and he has always loved playing there.
