The case against pregnant employee Gabisile Khambule was postponed in the Alberton magistrate's court yesterday.

Khambule, 24, was charged with perjury after she opened an assault case against George Menez, her employer.

Menez is the owner of George's Home Made Crisps in Leondale, Ekurhuleni.

The case was postponed to December 10 following the state's request.

Menez is alleged to have pushed a table against Khambule's tummy at his factory after accusing her of breaking a machine.

Her doctor advised her to open a case against Menez.

Khambule's attorney, Molatelo Makhura, said he was ready to proceed.
