Lamontville Golden Arrows were merciless yesterday when they thumped Ajax Cape Town 4-0 in an Absa Premiership match at King Zwelithini Stadium.

It was sweet revenge for Abafana Bes'thende after The Urban Warriors brushed them aside in the Telkom Cup with a 3-1 drubbing in the Mother City on Sunday.

Yesterday's result saw Arrows keep their unbeaten run in the league this season intact.

Ricahrd Henyekane, who is in devastating form, opened the scoring when he lobbed the ball over goalie Sean Roberts in the fourth minute after collecting a pass from Francis Kombe.

Kombe got on the scoresheet in the 14th minute with a fine header.

Arrows goalie Helton da Rocha parried Brett Evans' effort for a corner a minute later.

Henyekane proved his versatility with an exquisite header in the 37th minute to make the half-time score 3-0. He capped his amazing display with an 83rd-minute goal.

AmaZulu made the people of KwaZulu-Natal even happier when they pipped the troubled Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Dumisani Ngwenya scored after collecting a pass from Awol Issah in the 62nd minute.

Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs beat SuperSport United 1-0 at Super Stadium last night, while Santos and Mamelodi Sundowns drew 0-0 in Cape Town. Orlando Pirates beat Platinum Stars 1-0.
