Some dreams will come true while others will be shattered when five belts - two South African, an IBO, WBF and WBC International - are contested at the Mdantsane Indoor Centre next Friday night.

This boxing extravaganza is being presented by Mamali Boxing Promotions of promoter S'Phatho Handi. His Enothole Boxing Club in Mdantsane will be represented by Nkosinathi Joyi, Ludumo Galada, Lubabalo Msuthu and Themba Joyi, Nkosinathi's older brother.

Nkosinathi will top the bill when he defends his IBO mini flyweight belt against rugged Mexican Lorenzo Trejo over 12 rounds. It will be Joyi's third defence, after he floored Filipino Gabriel Pumar in 29 seconds and stopped tough Mexican Sammy Gutierrez in round seven.

But Trejo is vastly experienced. Galada's lack of experience could cost him his WBF featherweight title against Mexican Pedro Navarette.

Msuthu and Adewale Ibrahim from Nigeria will contest the vacant WBC International bantamweight belt while the reign of Osborne Machimana as the heavyweight national king could end against Miyan Solomons. Machimana stopped Solomons in the fifth round in May.

Thembelani Maphuma will defend the SA junior bantamweight belt against Themba Joyi in the fifth title fight.
