Cops arrest 205 suspects

Police in Sharpeville, near Vereeniging, arrested 205 people for various crimes over the weekend.

Spokesman Inspector Trudie Wilken yesterday said police mounted a special operation from Friday until early yesterday.

She said the arrests were for robberies, assault, theft, illegal gambling, drug offences, drunken driving and drinking in public.

Those arrested will appear in court soon. - Sapa
