Bursaries on offer for top, needy matric candidates
Underprivileged matric candidates can achieve their dream of going to university after the announcement of tertiary education bursaries by the Ulutsha Development Trust.
The trust is a non-profit-making organisation that seeks to empower and develop youth in rural areas of South Africa.
This corporate social investment initiative is the brainchild of Lembede Investment, an ANC Youth League investment arm.
Lembede Investment, Metropolitan Holdings, Umsobomvu Youth Fund, and the Youth Commission have partnered with the Ulutsha Development Trust in the search of pupils who demonstrate high levels of discipline and commitment to their studies.
Former Miss South Africa Raelene Rorke and former Miss SA Teen Zizo Beda are among those chosen as ambassadors for the project.
They have just returned from a two-week career expo in Eastern Cape and KwaZuluNatal, where the trust invited candidates to apply for the bursaries.
The bursaries will be awarded to pupils who want to pursue careers in scarce priority skills.
