Gauteng MEC for housing Nomvula Mokonyane has lashed out at Eden Park residents in Ekurhuleni who have hijacked at least 50 RDP houses.
Mokonyane said the department would act decisively against anyone illegally occupying RDP houses.
"While people may have legitimate expectations, breaking the law will not be tolerated," she said.
Three weeks ago the residents invaded houses being built in the area and vowed to stay put.
