Generations lead actor Seputla Sebogodi, pictured, is launching a gospel album that will soon see him entertain his fans off the screen as well.

Sebogodi, who plays ruthless businessman Kenneth Mashaba on the daily SABC1 soapie, said the 12-track album, Ke Ngwana Hao, is due for release in two weeks' time.

He will be performing songs from his album at a concert in the Soshanguve Community Hall in Pretoria on Sunday.

He will perform with Simon Makgatholela, who is famous for the gospel hit Motho Fetoga.

Sebogodi told Sowetan he was already booked for five shows this festive season.

Asked what motivated him to venture into music, Sebogodi said: "What people don't know is that I have been doing music from the early 80s. I have worked with greats such as Vusi Khumalo, Gibson Kente, Jonas Gwangwa and Thetha."
