At the weekend UDM leader Bantu Holomisa and other panellists walked out of an interview with the SABC.

Apparently this was when they were interrupted to accommodate a live television broadcast of ANC president Jacob Zuma's speech at a rally in Soweto.

The Alliance of Free Democrats (AFD) has raised the issue of the media levelling the playing field. At least Holomisa and others are given a platform to communicate their policies. Others are shunned.

The AFD believes preference is given to some organisations, while others are thrown into the political darkness.

When we invite members of the media to our gatherings they do not show up. When we issue a media statement on issues of national importance it is ignored and this means citizens can't make their political choices.
