Police were called to an informal settlement in Umlazi's H section where the body of Siphiwe Mntambo was discovered near Nseleka School at about 3am on Sunday.
No arrests have been made.
In the second incident, police were called to Umlazi's E-section where the body of a man was found. He had been stabbed in the neck.
